CHARLOTTE, NC — In a stunning display of technical talent and drive, Gus Manchot, Senior Engineer in charge of Enterprise Engineering Analytics and Customer Platform Data Engineering, continues to lead the charge in staying ahead of the curve. With an endless barrage of new frameworks, technologies, build tools, and industry trends to navigate, it’s no small feat for any software engineer to remain current. But for Gus, this challenge is just part of the job.

“I’m the only one here up to speed on the latest technologies,” said Manchot, who recently took an unprompted deep dive into WebAssembly integrations with Angular 19. “There’s just no way this place could run without me. I can build anything. Right now, I’m even working on a side project to integrate a ChatGPT wrapper into our internal chat software for more sophisticated information searching.”

As he spoke, Manchot stared with contempt at a group of product managers in a nearby conference room. “Some people here just don’t deliver clear value,” he continued. “I’m not saying it, but I’ve been called a true 10xer.”

When asked about his contributions, he eagerly listed several impressive projects. “I’ve completely rewritten our internal analytics dashboards for modularity and integrated a new open-source A/B experimentation tool to replace our previous closed-source A/B experimentation tool. I’ve also been working with other teams to rewrite our customer analytics event pipelines in Go instead of Rust in order to reduce latency by over 15ms.”

Manchot’s company, Millenium System Integrators (MSI), specializes in long-term B2B contracts to modernize mainframe software for containerization and public cloud hosting. Recently, MSI secured a four-year, $15 million managed service provider deal, partnering with IBM and Bank of America — firmly establishing itself in the legacy systems modernization space.

For Manchot, however, these details are irrelevant. After accidentally wandering into a customer acquisition meeting, he reportedly plugged his ears and drowned out the discussion with a distressingly loud lalala, then threw on noise-canceling headphones and dove headfirst back into his laptop. For him, it’s all about the tech.
